The the base station for LS4074 with Keyboard-Wedge Interface is installed (wedged) between the main unit and the keyboard of your computer by using the cable provided on the scanner. It will process and transmit the bar code data as if it were typed on the keyboard. When the scanner is not in use the keyboard will operate normally. The the base station of the LS4074 with USB Interface plugs into USB port of your computer just as a USB keyboard.
