The ZB-600 slot bar code Scanner with Keyboard-Wedge Interface is installed (wedged) between the main unit and the keyboard of your computer by using the cable provided on the scanner. It will process and transmit the bar code data as if it were typed on the keyboard. When the scanner is not in use the keyboard will operate normally.
The keyboard interface cable is shipped with an adapter cable that allows the scanner to easily connect to either a 6 pin mini DIN (PS/2 style) or 5 pin DIN (AT style) keyboard port.
